Registration

Per Cornell University policy, all EYH participants and visitors (including students, parents, teachers, and accompanying adults, regardless of age) should stay home if they are ill, and are strongly encouraged to take an antigen test in advance of visiting campus or attending EYH.

The university does not check vaccination status for campus visitors; however, visitors are encouraged to have received a primary COVID-19 vaccine series and be up to date on eligible boosters

EYH Registration System Is Under Maintenance

The EYH registration system is currently undergoing maintenence. Please come back later. Do not try to enter the lottery or register using the links below. Your registration attempts will automatically be deleted when maintenance is finished and vanish forever.

Lottery System

We are using a lottery system again in 2026 to determine who can attend EYH. Students will be able to sign up for the EYH lottery online Feb. 2 (opens 9am) - Feb. 6 (closes 5pm). We will announce the lottery results on Feb. 8, 2026. If you are selected for EYH, we will give you instructions for completing your registration.

The registration lottery for EYH 2026 will remain open from Feb. 2 (opens 9am) - Feb. 6 (closes 5pm). You will receive details about how to complete full registration on Feb. 8, 2026.

If registering individual students, you can use the individual form. These students are put into the individual lottery.

For registering multiple students, you can use the group form. Each group consists of 2 to 25 students and must have an adult group leader. The group leader will be our primary contact person for all registration logistics. For safety purposes, if the group leader is unable to attend the conference, we must be provided a replacement leader ASAP.

Groups can be entered in either the individual or group lotteries. Groups in the group lottery will be accepted or waitlisted as a single unit. If entered in the individual lotteries, there is a possibility that not all of the students in the group will be accepted.

Registering as either an individual or a group will have no effect on your chances in the lottery. Each student can only be entered in one of the lotteries.

You will need the following information to enter a student in the EYH lottery: their name, home address, grade level, ethnicity, and the number of times they have attended EYH in the past.

EYH 2026 Registration Is Not Open

The registration window for the 2026 Cornell EYH conference is currently not open. If you have any questions, please contact us at cornelleyhreg@gmail.com.

Conference Fees

There is no fee to enter the registration lottery. If you are selected to attend EYH, the registration fee is $25 per student and is non-refundable. With this payment, the student will receive:

• Participation in two to three hands-on workshops, the keynote address, science displays and demos, and a raffle of science-related prizes
• One EYH T-shirt
• Breakfast and lunch for themselves and for one accompanying adult

We encourage each student to bring an accompanying adult to the conference. There is no additional fee for the participation of an accompanying adult. Any student who does not have an accompanying adult will be assigned a Cornell Buddy for the day. However, we want to open EYH to as many students as possible, and the availability of Cornell Buddies is a limiting factor on the size of the conference.

Additional adults beyond the accompanying adult can register for $10. Additional T-shirts can be purchased for $10.

Group Leader Responsibilities

If your group is selected for participation in EYH, you will be our contact person for all registration logistics. You will pass on information about the conference to your group members. You will ensure that each student completes their online registration on time. You will submit a single payment to EYH to cover the registration fees for all group members. On the morning of the conference, you will sign your group in at the EYH registration table, and will coordinate the distribution of nametags and folders to your group members. For safety purposes, if you are unable to serve as group leader on the day of the conference please let us know ASAP who the replacement group leader will be. You can be the group leader for only one group.
